What is more accurate- electronic or manual blood pressure machines?
When the doctor checks my blood pressure with an electronic machine, it is high. When I check it at home with my electronic machine, it is high. When my school nurse checks it with a manual machine and has trouble finding my pulse, it is normal. Are these readings accurate? Which one should I trust?
Are those blood pressure machines at drugstores accurate?
We have free blood pressure testing at various places. I got on there once and and heart starts beating faster because the machine is squeezing the heck out of it. How can the machine bet accurate if my arm feels uncomfortable and compressed? Thank you sorry I meant to say does heart rate correlate with your blood pressure? I'm trying to find out and some places are saying that your heart rate does not affect your blood pressure. Does this mean that your blood pressure is generally the same, regardless of how fast your heart is beating?

hi ya guysIn the last month of december I went three times to the doctors and every time I have got my blood pressure taken and it turned out absolutely fine.My mum got an blood pressure machine at home and one day out of interest I have checked it on myself and it gave me 193 80 and a pulse of 106 and it sared the shit out of me.Since then I am checking it with the machine and I never get a result beyond 140 and I am scared since taht day I have checked with the machine.Should i trust the machine or is it falty schould i go backt to the doctors?what should i do went already 3 times to doctors

im a 19 year old male, and have bad anxiety and am always worrying, i go 2 ralphs and rite aid and use there machines, and like today the first time i used it, its said 120 63, then like 115 42, then would jump back to like 118 68, lol, so i dont know if they are acurate, r theyy????
What does "out of range" on a blood pressure machine in a pharmacy mean?
I know that my blood pressure is low. I sometimes try to use the blood pressure machine at the pharmacy, and I often can't, even though it appears to be working and other people are able to get readings from it. I do have small arms, so this might just mean that the machines don't work properly for me because of my size I weigh 100 pounds and have skinny arms compared to the rest of my body . My blood pressure is always low. The lowest it's been while I've been feeling reasonably ok was 70 40. I've never had it measured while I actually have symptoms of low blood pressure which I do have . What's the lowest that a blood pressure machine can detect? Am I sometimes unable to use these machines because my blood pressure is too low, or because my arms are too small? I get error messages from the machines, like " out of range" or " inconsistent" .
Blood pressure machines will not read my pulse...why?
For some reason any automated blood pressure machines wont read my pulse. Its been happening for over two years now. Every time i try to donate blood they have the same problem, and i am not able to. Even professionals have a hard time and have to do it manually, but even then they have a hard time. Why would this happen and how can i make it so my pulse will read because i am trying to donate blood to help people and this is getting in the way Has this happened to anyone else? Any help is much appreciated...THANKS I have had more than 5 machines not read it and more than 10 nurses try. A lot of the time they say this is the first time that they had the machines not read a pulse
I went to the store and used the blood pressure machine and it said it was hi. should i trust it?
im 26, and just got off of my new restaurant manager shift when i went to the store on the way home. i was over what was said to be normal and in the " prehypertension" range. should i trust this and go to a doctor, or wait and see if i have weird symptoms? the only ones i have are that i get tired, but i get less sleep now from my job and have more resposibility now.
Blood pressure machine readings?
So I park my car at the local wal mart and walk directly to the blood pressure machine. I sit down, press start and the first reading is 139 86. Then I immediately restart it and get a reading of 126 75. Then I immediately restart it again and get a third reading of 112 68.Whats the deal? Which reading should I trust? Was my blood pressure elevated at first because I had walked from the parking lot to the machine?If you take a reading multiple times in one arm right after the other...would the pressure go up or down?
About blood pressure machine not reading my pressure?
today i went in to urgent care for a skin infection hopefully i will be okay but i was at the nurse's station forever.. the machine wouldn't read my blood pressure the nurse tried both arms and forearm but nothing no reading??so my question is, has this ever happened to anyone? or can anyone tell me why this happened?i am a blood pressure patient but haven't been on meds for two years now, since i've had it under control.thanksin advance
Blood Pressure Machines?
i am a 26 year old male, who suffers from panic disorder.... ive been taking my blood pressure at home using a home blood rpessure machine and my blood pressure is usually in the normal range.... However, last night i was at wal mart and took my blood pressure and it was 153 88... When i got home i took it and it was 128 75...... can white coat apprehension happen at places like wal mart??? and are home machines accurate?my pulse was 117 at wal mart.... at home it was 88
